Anna Marie Day

Falling Waters, WV – Anna Marie Day, 91, of Falling Waters, WV passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at her home.

She was born on March 5, 1933, in Harrisonburg, Virginia to the late Calvy and Primrose Virginia (Shipe) Wease.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Lee “Snuffy” Day in 2002.

Anna owned and operated multiple businesses including cake decorating service, cleaning service, and daycare.  She was also a foster parent with her husband for over 30 children throughout her life.

She was a member of Robinwood Church of God Hagerstown, MD.  She managed the fellowship hall and food for events.  She was also a Sunday School teacher.

Anna loved sports like softball, watching golf, and bowling.

She is survived by her daughter Mary Whetzel of Waldorf, MD; son Frankie Day and his wife Nancy of Harpers Ferry, WV; daughter Melodie Day of Falling Waters, WV; grandchildren Andrew, Robert, Adam, Kiana, Kayla, and Kylie; 8 great grandchildren; niece Norma Jean Grimm; her cat Kitty Kukoo.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister Katherine Mills; her brother Robert Wease; her brother-in-law Gene Mills.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.  The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Wednesday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Robinwood Church of God 12030 Warrenfeltz Lane Hagerstown, MD 21742 on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 11:00 am with Pastor Henry Marquiss officiating.  Graveside services will be held at Parklawn Memorial Park Rockville, MD on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 2:30 pm.
